My Friend’s Gynecologist ~ Integrative Health Care for Women

Dr. Terri V. ~ Medical Sex Counseling

Dr. Terri Vanderlinde is an approachable, compassionate, highly trained and well-seasoned Gynecologist. She started this Integrative solo practice in early 2002, after becoming frustrated by the current medical system where doctors see patients in 10 minutes appointments and quickly recommend prescriptions. She truly enjoys being part of her patients’ lives and feels very privileged to be allowed to care for them in a very intimate way.

Dr. Terri is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology; she has been practicing for over 25 years in the military and private sectors.  As an Osteopath, Dr. Terri is passionate about Complementary and Alternative treatment modalities in medicine. She enjoys discussing innovative methods of treatment to include psychological, energetic, herbal, homeopathic, dietary and lifestyle options. She helps her patients understand the risks and benefits of surgery, after considering other modalities, and refers to excellent, talented surgeons as needed. Briefly, seeing this kind and caring lady for a routine or problem visit, is a very positive experience. Not your average gynecologist! Not your average doctor!

About My Friend’s Gynecologist

We are a full service Gynecology office with a genuine passion for Complementary and Alternative Health Care treatment options. We educate patients, allowing them to make their own best well-informed decisions. We care deeply and listen well. We have special expertise in sexual functioning, hormone adjustment, pelvic pain and heavy bleeding. Our office is GLBTQA friendly.

We refer out for Obstetrics and for Surgeries.  Dr. Vanderlinde is an Out-of-Network Fee-for-Service provider for all insurance companies.  This means we receive payment at the time of the visit, and the patient submits to their insurance carrier for direct reimbursement.  Please check with your Insurance Carrier to see what your benefit plan allows.

This summer, we will be adding a new Nurse Practitioner who will be IN-Network for most all insurances, and will do Primary Health Care for women as well as Routine Gynecology.  Please call the office to find out the details.

About Dr. Terri V. – Medical Sex Counseling

Dr. Vanderlinde offers simple, brief sexual counseling which have a medical, pain or hormonal component to all of her patients during regular and problem GYN visits.  But there are also hour-long Cognitive-Behavioral-Therapy counseling sessions available to go into more depth for emotional, psychological, past abuse, relationship and communication issues.   Partners of patients are encouraged, but not required to attend visits.   Homework (or home-play) assignments are given.  Couples should plan on an average of 4 sessions to discover the issues and begin to resolve them.

We welcome LGBTQA patients.  We see, treat and prescribe hormone therapy for trans-gender persons and are Sex-Positive for BDSM, Poly, Bi and other forms of sexual expression.  We are not able to handle sex offenders or other psychopathology.
